Welcome to
Picton Baptist
Never been to Picton Baptist?
Never been to any church?
No problem - you're invited to join us.
If you’d like to belong to a church for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, we invite you to join us. We aim to be a place where we love God, love our neighbour and love each other. Our hope is that people who join us will be able to say “surely God was in this place.”

You can join our 10am Sunday gathering at 293 Waikawa Road or check us out on Zoom (email us to sign up to our newsletter for the Zoom address). Or if that's not your thing, join us for Sticky Church, Tea @ 10, Little Stars or youth group - see our 'Things We Do' page or visit us on facebook.
What should I expect on a Sunday morning?
Sunday morning starts at 10am and is usually finished about 11.30am.
We'll probably sing a few worship songs, someone will give a few notices, every second week we have communion, and the talk is about 20 minutes long. Sometimes it might be different to this. After 11.30am, there's time for a cup of coffee or tea and a chat. Children are very welcome to join in the service. The music is sometimes live, sometimes recorded - it's contemporary music but not too noisy. |
